בגלל שכולנו בעניין של טימי טרנר אז בואו נקדם את הסדרה באנגלית ונתחיל דיון באנגלית אני יתחיל על האנימה השניה הכי אהובה עלי אחרי טימי טרנטר - נרוטו: I see so much of myself in Naruto, to the point where whenever eh hurts, I started crying myself. I grew up with Asperger's Syndrome, which means I have difficulty reading facial expressions and understanding the nuances in social situations. So it was difficult for me to make friends, because I was a hothead who didn't understand what he was doing wrong. I made up stories about myself, seeking attention. And I was also pretty physically weak, and started to fall behind academically. I was 12 when I first started watching Naruto. His ostracism, his pranks, his rage, his goofy sense of humor all really resonated with me. But most of all, his sheer determination. He never once gave up, he just kept trying and trying. It inspired me to do something about my life. I worked harder, studied harder, started blowing things off that other people said about me. Pretty soon, I started seeing results. I started making new friends, I got stronger, I got better grades. And as I grew up, Naruto grew up too. Shippudden was fantastic for me, because it really started to display the harsher side of Naruto's struggles. Sometimes you can't always win. Sometimes you lose people who mean a lot to you. I know a lot of people were hit hard by Jiraya's death, but damn did I fall silent watching him sink as he thought to himself what he'd name his final story. Around that time, I got into some trouble. It really hurt me, and I was honestly fearful for the course of my life. Luckily, it end up alright, but boy did it literally scare me shitless. I turned my life around, set some school records on the 3600, and even landed a 4.2 last semester (I'm a senior). I was accepted to UC Davis and Santa Cruz, and it was a euphoria I never felt. What I really liked about Shippudden is how much more complicated the world gets for Naruto. Saskue is always just one step ahead of him, the politics are an entangled mess arising form conflicting ideologies, and everyone has significant strengths and weaknesses. I began to become much more aware of who I was and the people around me, and I've begun to realize just how vulnerable we all are. Pain is a difficult thing to overcome, and some never get through it. So although I have my qualms with the way the series ended, I was bawling by the end. The way Naruto and Saskue make amends, however incomplete, the way they break the cycle of their fates together, and most importantly, the reoccurring theme of passing on what you've learned to the next generation, knowing that some mistakes are bound to repeated regardless. The way Bortuo spray paints the Kage mountain to gain his father's attention was so great to read, I closed that book wondering what I might be like if I choose to become a father one day. Naruto has always been there for me, and I hope to teach the lessons I have learned to the king.
